Hold the Mayo....spread the Love.

Ok, i stole that line from one of the T'Wolves forums.

Anyways, this trade leaves my stake in NBA at an all-time low. I understand the deal from the T'Wolves perspective in the short term. They get a local kid back who can shoot (Miller) and a solid front court player who wants to be here (Love). Plus, with teams in the division ( Portland, Seattle ) going pretty big, you have to match up.

My problem with the deal is these players get the team to 30 wins max over the next few years. Big whoooop. This team needs some star power to keep fans interest, sell tickets, and jerseys. OJ Mayo could have done that for a minimum of 3 - 5 years. And not just with upper-Midwesterns either. His appeal is much broader.

Last year I watched a crappy team every so often via directv. At least this year I can save $12/month in the winter.

Want to go fishing with Santa?

I really dont worry to much about the environment, since its out of my control, however, its stories below that makes me wonder. It cannot be a good thing for a planet to have ice on both caps for over a million years to then slowly loose them over the course of 60 yrs.

Now, I would be interested in going up North and looking at the Northern Lights and doing some fishing, however, without ice caps, maybe I can do that in the Midwest in 25 yrs.

Classic WWE: The Rock at his finest

Ahhh, back in the day when the Rock was at his prime, I would go get free pizza with a pitcher of beer, sit back and watch these guys beat the crap out of themselves.

That was some good tv entertainment, The Rock, Stone Cold, Y2J, athletic and funny.

Garbage Island in the ocean

I found this series of video pretty disturbing, but honestly, I'm not shocked. All the waste we produce has to go somewhere now doesn't it. I don't see why we can take all the garbage and crud, put it up in some rocket, and fire that puppy straight towards the sun.

Anyways, visit this site and watch the videos.

Winnebago closes Charles City plant

With Winnebago closing its Charles City plant, there is a H U G E hole in the economy of north central Iowa. Things were bad enough the way it was up there.

Good luck to all in finding employment and keep your head up!

However, when 'Bago did this a few years ago, I thought they were insane. I understand the general population is getting older and the rich is getting richer. However, how many sticking people want to drive a 40' machine and try to park it in some crappy campground. Like most companies, they got greedy and over-extended themselves.

Obama get democratic nod

Thank god, the numbers are finally with Obama. I was so sick and tired of the Clinton spin that there was no way in hell I was going to vote for her. Not sure I would have voted for McCain ( too damn old for me ), might have gone Libertarian just to be different.

Not sure what the hell Clinton is waiting for. It's not like this is basketball where you can foul and foul as the final seconds tick away and nail three's on the other end. There is nothing more she can do. It's over, you lost, you owe money, now pay the people and get on with your life.
